Schoology - Face-to-Face Instructors Beginning of Semester Updates

Face-to-face instructors have some tasks to attend to before the start of the semester. These include copying a previous course, adding a syllabus from WIDS, and updating grading information.

Copying a Previous Course

Use the copy process to move content from the previous semester forward. Please note that you must copy the previous courses grade settings before copying materials to keep assignment categories and rubrics aligned.

Adding a Syllabus from WIDS

Add a syllabus from WIDS to the Course Syllabus and Information Folder

Verify Materials and Contact Information

After copying necessary materials from the previous course, verify that the materials are up-to-date. Next, verify that the information found at the Instructor Contact Info link is accurate.

Update Due Dates and Grading Information

Use the Bulk Edit tool in the gradebook to update due dates for all assessments. Face-to-face instructors are expected to have due dates set at least one week in advance.
