This document shows standard Southwest Tech computer hardware and accessories.
Many faculty and staff have inquired about personal purchases for their home office.
ITS has curated a list of recommended hardware that you can purchase to be used with your campus-issued laptop. Hardware and accessories other than what is listed below may work with your laptop; however, they have not been tested by ITS and we will not be able to assist or troubleshoot any issues with it.
This is provided as a guide for individuals to purchase on their own.
Docking Station |
HP USB-C G5 Essential Dock
A power supply for the dock is included with the docking station. This power supply is separate from the travel power supply that would plug directly into your laptop.
Note: This dock uses a USB-C connection, instead of attaching to the side of the laptop, and requires an HP EliteBook G5 or newer - Contact the Charger Technology Support Center prior to purchasing to verify your model. If you need to purchase the older style docking station please contact the Charger Technology Support Center
