HP Hotkey Support - Charger Tech 360 Devices

This document outlines the installation of the software which controls hotkey functionality on Charger Tech 360 HP laptops.

Hotkey Overview

If your HP laptop multi-function keys are not working properly, the HP Hotkey Support software will remedy the issue. The multi-function keys are the top row of the laptop keyboard as shown below.

A common symptom of missing software would be the inability to change the brightness or volume by tapping the respective keys.

Software Installation

To begin, download the HP Hotkey Software installer here: HP Hotkey Support Setup File

Download Progress

Once the file is complete click Open file to begin the installation.

Run Setup File

If prompted to allow this app to make changes to your device select Yes to proceed.

UAC Prompt

The installer will begin at this point and will prompt to proceed.

Installation Begin

Click Install to begin.

Install Step 1

Click Finish to complete the install.

Install Step 2

You will be prompted to restart the computer to finalize the configuration change. Save all unsaved work and click Yes to restart.

Restart

When the computer restarts the multi-function keys will work as expected.
