Cybersecurity Introduction

October is recognized as National Cybersecurity Awareness Month. While the spotlight shines on cybersecurity during the month of October, it truly is a year-round endeavor. 

Southwest Wisconsin Technical College (SWTC) Information Technology Services (ITS) is putting next-generation technology into place to further secure and bolster our defense, we also aim to provide resources for all members of our campus to help protect their identity, account, and data.

SWTC Cybersecurity Training and Campus Initiatives

Cybersecurity Training

Multi-Factor Authentication
To help secure our users' accounts, multi-factor authentication (MFA) has been enabled for all Staff and Faculty. There are many benefits to using MFA and more information can be found on the MFA Knowledgebase page here: Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) - Overview 

Next-generation Antivirus
All SWTC devices (including Charger Tech 360 devices) are protected by enhanced antivirus with an emphasis on balance to provide the best security while promoting educational freedom.
