Continuing Education - Email Already Assigned and Password Reset says “Not Associated with a Student Account”
This document will help you create an account in the continuing education portal if you are getting an "The email address your provided is already assigned" error.
You receive the following error when trying to register:
“The email address you provided (email@example.com) is
already assigned to more than one student account and cannot be used to
register for classes. Please use another address or contact the help desk for
You also receive the following error when trying reset your
password:"firstname.lastname@example.org" is not associated with a student account. Verify that the email you entered is correct.
This issue can arise when you are trying to use an email address that has been used to register for a degree program. This sometimes happens when a parent uses their email address to sign one of their children up, or if you previously attended school at Southwest Tech and are now taking a continuing education class.
Use a different email address that has never been used to
register for a degree program or continuing education classes at Southwest
Tech. If you don't have another email address you can create a free one with many online providers (Google, Microsoft, Yahoo).
