Continuing Education - Never Received Verification Email

This document will help you create an account in the continuing education portal if you never received your verification email.

Symptom

You never receive a confirmation email from "ContinuingEd@swtc.edu" when creating an account in the continuing education portal.

Cause

If you don't receive an email it is because the email is in your spam folder or the email was blocked by your email provider.

Solution

1. Check your Spam/Junk folders in your email.  Some email providers may flag this email as spam and move it into one of those folders.

2. If you are using a school or business email, check with your IT department to verify you can receive emails for outside entities.  Some schools and businesses may have rules set up that block receiving emails from external email addresses.  See if your IT department can whitelist the swtc.edu domain.

3. Try a personal email address.  If you are using a school or business email address, try using a personal email address (GoogleMicrosoftYahoo) instead.  Generally, personal email addresses will not block emails from swtc.edu.

4. Contact the Southwest Tech Helpdesk.  If you are still unable to receive the confirmation contact the helpdesk and they will assist you with getting your confirmation code.  See the contact information below.
