Schoology - Exporting a Course Roster from Schoology to Excel

In Schoology you can view the students who are enrolled in your course by clicking Members on the left hand side.  This page lets you view only.

You can export a class list (roster) from Schoology through the Gradebook.  

(This article assumes you know how to access the Schoology Gradebook):

1.  Be sure the correct term is being displayed in the Gradebook.  The term shows as the first item above the Gradebook.  See image below.

2.  Click on the three dots located next to the plus sign above the Gradebook. Note that if you do not see the three dots, go back to step 1 and be sure that the correct term is displayed.  See image below.

3.  Choose Export

4.  Select Gradebook as CSV and click Next

5.  Depending on your browser settings and prompts; you may choose to download, open, or save the CSV file which will open in Microsoft Excel. Note that any gradebook items and grades will also be in this Excel file.  You may choose to remove those and only have the list of names (roster).
