Remove a Saved Password from a Browser
This document outlines the procedure for removing saved passwords from common web browsers.
While saving passwords in your browser can be helpful, it can also cause login problems when a password changes. Learn how to clear saved passwords in common browsers below.
Internet Explorer
To remove individual passwords, highlight the username that is pre-filled in the text field on-screen and select the Delete (not backspace) key.
To remove all saved passwords:
1. Open the Tools menu (in newer versions this will appear as a gear icon in the upper right corner)
2. Select Internet Options
3. Select Content
4. Under AutoComplete, select Settings
5. Click Delete AutoComplete history...
6. To prevent AutoComplete from saving passwords, ensure AutoComplete is deselected for User names and passwords on forms
To remove all saved passwords:
1. Open the Tools menu (in newer versions this will appear as a gear icon in the upper right corner)

3. Select Content
4. Under AutoComplete, select Settings
5. Click Delete AutoComplete history...
6. To prevent AutoComplete from saving passwords, ensure AutoComplete is deselected for User names and passwords on forms
Microsoft Edge
1. Open the Settings and more menu (this will appear as three dots in the upper right corner)
2. Select Settings (gear icon)
3. Select Profiles
4. Click Passwords
5. Click the X for any website listed under Saved passwords that would you like to remove.

Safari (macOS)
1. In the menu bar, open the Safari menu
2. Select Preferences
3. Go to the Autofill tab
4. Click the Edit button for Usernames and Passwords
5. Delete the corresponding entry

Note: Keychain Access also has the ability to store passwords for web browsers. You can also remove unwanted passwords from Keychain Access for websites if you are having difficulty doing so from your web browser.
Safari (iOS/Mobile)
1. Open the Settings app
2. Select Safari
3. Under General, select Passwords & Autofill
4. Select Saved Passwords
5. To view the password, tap the corresponding webpage and enter in your phone passcode. To delete, select the Edit button and choose Delete for any websites you would like to remove.

Mozilla Firefox
Windows
1. In the menu bar, open the menu (this will appear as three dashed lines in the upper right corner)
2. Select Options (gear icon)
3. Select Privacy & Security and scroll down to Logins and Passwords
4. Select Saved Logins...
5. Remove the corresponding saved login information you would like to delete.
MacOS
1. In the menu bar, open the Firefox menu
2. Select Preferences
3. Select the Security tab (Older versions of Firefox will list this as Privacy
4. Select Saved Passwords
5. To remove all existing password, select Remove all. To remove specific saved passwords, select View Saved Passwords and delete just those associated with the desired page. Additionally you can deselect the option for Remember passwords as this will prevent passwords from being saved in the future.

4. Select Saved Passwords
5. To remove all existing password, select Remove all. To remove specific saved passwords, select View Saved Passwords and delete just those associated with the desired page. Additionally you can deselect the option for Remember passwords as this will prevent passwords from being saved in the future.
Google Chrome

1. Open the Chrome menu (this will appear as three vertical dots in the upper right corner)
2. Select Settings
3. Select Autofill
4. Select Passwords
5. Under the Saved Passwords section, remove the corresponding saved login information you would like to delete.
MacOS
