2026-2027 Southwest Tech Dual Credit Application Process
To begin, visit www.swtc.edu/apply
If you are a current Southwest Tech student, you can log in with your SWTC email account:
- Use your original SWTC email account to log onto the Apply portal by using

- If you haven’t attended recently but had created an account with your personal email in the past, you can log in in with that email account and password using this button

You are a current or returning Southwest Tech student if you have ever taken:
- Start College Now, CollEDGE Up, Youth Apprenticeship, or
- Transcripted Credit courses at your High School.

If you are New to Southwest Tech and applying for the first time, you’ll start by using the Create Account link.
When creating a new account, it’s very important to respond to the activation email that will be sent to your personal email account! Please avoid using school or work email addresses.
Whichever option you take to log in, or if creating a new account, follow the prompts as you go.

Login Details for Current SWTC Students
- Students will click “SWTC Account Sign In” - This is the preferred login method.
- For this option students will use their Southwest Tech email address and password to login. On the first login, multi-factor authentication (MFA) will verify the applicant’s phone credentials.

- Another option – if a personal email account was previously created and that email is accessible, the personal email and password can be used to login again.
- A Forgot Password link is available if needed.
- When logged in to an existing account, the Student’s personal details will be pre-loaded into the application pages making the entire process much easier.
- Applicants will need to verify that their contact information (phone, address, etc.) is correct or has not changed.

Details for New Students (creating a new account)
- Students will click the “create account” link and provide the required information.

- When creating an account, students should use a personal email address they’re able to access during the process, as they will be sent an activation link that must be acknowledged within a short time.
- Passwords are case sensitive and must be at least 7 characters long.
- SWTC email accounts cannot be used here as the personal email account.

- Check your personal email address for the activation link as prompted.
- Click the link to activate the new account, then close this window before returning to the first page.
- Log in with the email address and password that was just created.
Application details for Fall 2026 Applicants


Step 1: After logging into the SWTC Apply portal, click “start new application” on the welcome screen
Step 2: New Application: Click next.

Step 3: On the programs page, select the following:
Expected Entrance Term: Fall 2026
Program Applying For: Select the appropriate program from these choices:
- Start College Now
- CollEDGE Up
- Youth Apprenticeship
Level of Confidence: Confident
Student Housing: No
Step 4: Applicant Information.
Complete all required fields (indicated with a red asterisk *).
Continue by clicking ‘Next’, or ‘Previous’ to go back one page.
Step 5: Previous Education.
- Click “Add High School” and begin typing into the field to search for your school district.
- For graduation date, please select a date from the calendar icon – choosing either 05/30/2027 or 06/01/2027.

Step 6: Answer the remaining questions based on the day the student is completing the application.
Highest Level of Education: This is the last grade level completed
Highest Degree Earned by Either Parent: Please provide this if known or select ‘not reported’ if unsure.
Last Step: Submit Application. Click the “I agree” button to confirm all information is accurate and submit!
