Software - Recording a Video with the Camera App
This document will show you how to use the Camera App in Windows to make a recording.
Recording a Video with the Camera App
Note: If you're going to be moving around, it is recommend that you make a test video recording first to verify how the audio sounds when you are not directly in front of the computer. That way you'll know if you need to speak louder when you're at a distance.
- Open the Start Menu and then select the "Camera" app.
- When the Camera app opens, press the "Take video" button on the right side of the window to begin recording.
Note: If you have multiple cameras connected to your computer, you can switch the "Change camera" button in the top right corner of the screen (not shown in the screenshot below). - When you're done recording, press the "Stop" button on the right side of the window.
- Your recording will be save to your "Pictures" folder. To access it, open the File Explorer and select "Pictures" on the left. From there open the "Camera Roll" folder.
- Your video should show up in "Camera Roll" folder. If you have multiple recordings, be sure you find the correct one.
Sharing Video
If you would like to quickly share a link to the video you can do this by utilizing OneDrive. To quickly share a link, follow the steps below. For more detailed information regarding sharing files, see OneDrive - Overview.
- Right-click on the video you recorded from above and select "Share".
- Select "Copy Link".
- The link will be copied to your clipboard. You can then paste the link into an email, Schoology, document, etc.
This file will be accessible to anyone with access to the link so be careful with who it's shared with. For more granular sharing settings, see OneDrive - Overview.
