Schoology - Online Instructor Beginning of Semester Update

This article demonstrates the steps required for online instructors to prep courses for the semester.

Prior to the start of the semester, it is expected that all course shells in Schoology be as complete as possible. Pre-Semester prep work for online courses includes:

  1. Add the SWTC Standard Template to your Schoology course shell(s).
  2. Add the WIDS Syllabus to the Course Syllabus and Information folder.
  3. Verify Course Materials are correct, including but not limited to:
    • Instructor Contact Info link
    • Course Specific Information folder (Course Syllabus and Information)
    • Materials housed in the Course Work folder
  4. Update all Due Dates and Grading Information
    1. Use the Bulk Edit tool to quickly add or edit due dates, assignment categories, etc.
