Creating and submitting an Instructional Video for Closed Captioning
These are the official directions for submitting an Instructional Video for professional closed captioning.
- Prepare content
- Writing a script before recording is helpful.
- Record your video
- You can record this in any format that is comfortable for you.
- Popular tools include Zoom, Screenpal, or Microsoft Teams. You are free to use whichever recording tools you prefer.
- Submit your video file to the Digital Accessibility Video Dropbox on SharePoint. You will receive an email informing you that your video has been received.
- Once your video has been uploaded to YouTube, you will receive an email with the video link. This link can be placed into Schoology, embedded on a website, used in Playposit, or disseminated through any other appropriate means. This link will not change once professional captions have been added.
- You will receive a final email when your video has been professionally captioned and the process is completed.
